Applications

IMPRES-2060 is a cross-thickened acrylic copolymer emulsion is developed for use in Water Based Inks & Overprint Varnishes. When emulsion is diluted with water and treated with alkali, each emulsion particle swells and emulsion becomes clear and viscous. Once neutralized emulsion of IMPRES-2060 cannot be reversed to emulsion form. IMPRES-2060 can be incorporated directly into the system to be thickened without pre-neutralization. The neutralized can be then added into the system making it viscous. If free alkali exists in system, it would neutralized IMPRES-2060 “in situ” and thickened the system.

IMPRES-2060 has a minimal flocculating action. Thickened lattices / emulsion are free of any creaming tendencies and aqueous suspensions remain free of any sedimentation

Safety Data

IMPRES-2060 is acidic in nature and harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin and use protective clothing, hand gloves, goggles etc., while handling this material. In case of contact or splash on eyes, wash with copious amount of water and consult a Physician.

IMPRES-2060 is a water based system and non-flammable.
